A trip to the Chinese capital would not be complete without a visit to one of the city’s many Hutong bars – tiny traditional bars tucked away in alleyways that give visitors a real taste of Old Beijing. Some serve great food, some specialise in baijiu, while the most famous Hutong in Beijing, The Tiki Bungalow, serves up cocktails that pay homage to the tiki trend. Hidden down residential streets, these bars can be hard to find, so don’t be afraid to ask someone for directions!
