In many cities, the Tiki trend is something that’s “so yesterday”, but in Seattle the desire for all things island-inspired is very much still burning. So much so that bars dedicated to the trend continue to open. One such bar, Navy Strength, in the Belltown area of Seattle, was actually crowned “Best New American Cocktail Bar” by Tales of the Cocktail last year. Perhaps it’s the city’s rainy reputation that leaves locals craving the sunny disposition of a rum cocktail served in a whimsical glass.
