Reykjavik

For a relatively small city, the ratio of coffee houses and bars to citizens in Reykjavik is impressive, with many of those cafés transforming themselves after dark, swapping coffee for cocktails and clearing tables to create room for makeshift dancefloors. Although cocktail culture in Iceland is still in its early stages, one of the best places to go to sample delicious creations would be vintage-styled Slippbarinn. With a prime location right on the harbour, in the right conditions, you might even be lucky enough to spot the Northern Lights from your bar stool!
